THE HISTORY OF THE PRACTICE
Doctor K Private Medicine began in 2017 as a concierge service, with Dr. K personally making house calls across New York City.
Over time, the Practice evolved beyond the traditional concierge model. While convenience and access remain important, our focus shifted to something deeper: Personalized Medicine. Today, we specialize in designing tailored regimens built around each Client’s unique biology, goals, and lifestyle.
WHAT IS PERSONALIZED MEDICINE?
Personalized Medicine at Doctor K Private Medicine is built on two pillars:
Primary Care – the foundation of health. From blood pressure monitoring and vaccines to STI testing, cancer screenings, and infection treatment, we provide the full spectrum of traditional primary care.
Performance – the pursuit of optimization. This is where medicine meets ambition. Whether a Client seeks sharper cognitive function, enhanced sexual performance, healthier skin and hair, or advanced cancer screening, we design unique programs that help them achieve their best.
Think of it as a “choose your own adventure” for health and performance.
PRIMARY CARE & SPECIALIST REFERRALS
Dr. K is able to address approximately 85% of all primary care needs directly. For matters requiring specialist expertise, Clients are referred to trusted professionals within Dr. K’s network. Importantly, Dr. K collaborates with these specialists—clarifying treatment plans and advocating for the Client every step of the way.
Already have a primary care physician? You can choose to keep that relationship, or elect to have Dr. K serve as your full-time PCP.
CLIENTS VS. MEMBERS
At Doctor K Private Medicine, everyone begins as a Client after completing the Initial Consultation.
Clients pay for services and products a la carte.
Members are Clients who are invited to join Membership after their consultation. Members pay a retainer fee and enjoy exclusive benefits, including:
Unlimited, as-needed consultations
Direct virtual access to the Doctor K Team (via text, call, email)
Preferred pricing (20–30% lower than Client pricing)
Priority access and scheduling
Special Membership-only offerings
In short: All Members are Clients, but not all Clients are Members.
INSURANCE & BILLING
Doctor K Private Medicine is out of network with all insurance providers. However:
Insurance may be applied toward the cost of laboratory testing and certain medications dispensed by retail pharmacies.
Some health plans offer out-of-network reimbursement. Our Team can confirm whether your plan includes these benefits after reviewing your insurance card. (Please note: out-of-network benefits are not guaranteed.)
NEW CLIENTS
Doctor K is currently accepting new Clients on a limited basis. The Practice is highly selective, ensuring the right fit between Client and provider. Referrals from existing Clients receive priority consideration.
